Event Planning Coordinator

Location: Macao

Reports to: Event Planner

Responsibilities

  1. Support the Event Planners to generate pitches for new projects by maintaining close relationships with existing clients and developing new opportunities.

  2. Support the Event Planners to convert pitches into actual sales, by working closely with the creative and production team to build presentations and present budgets.

  3. Create visually appealing PowerPoint presentations to reflect design concepts for events.

Qualifications & Abilities

  1. Eligible for work in Macao and holds a bachelor degree 

  2. International experience preferred

  3. Fluent English and Chinese required (spoken and written) 


  4. At least one-year working experience at an international event/PR/Adv. agency or a hospitality group is required

  5. Candidates must be passionate about events and creating unique experiences for guests. 


  6. Candidates must have strong PowerPoint and Excel skills (proficiency in design software is a plus), written-English ability and attention to detail 


  7. A strong interest in branding, lifestyle, luxury and new trends is required

  8. Responsible, with an ability to work in a team and individually

Event Planner

Location: Macao

Reports to: Area Manager

Responsibilities

  1. Meet & exceed the annual sales target: The Event Planner shall reach and exceed the annual sales target.

  2. Generate pitches: The Event Planner shall generate pitches for new projects by 1) maintaining close relationships with existing clients and 2) developing new clients opportunities.

  3. Converting pitches into actual sales: The Event Planner shall work closely with the agency teams (creative strategist, design, production, talents & Marcom) to build presentations and budgets in order to close sales. The overall look of the presentation and the quality of the wording are as essential as the creativity and thoroughness of the content to differentiate Riviera from its competitors.

  4. Project production overall management: Once projects are signed the Event Planner will hand-over them to the Project & Talent Management teams. However, the Event Planner will keep overseeing the production and guarantee the clients agreed-on expectations are met. Once the project is finished, the Event Planner will take over again and sell the following events to the client.

  5. Manage Business Development interns: The Event Planner should manage the hiring and training of the Business Development interns.

Qualifications & Abilities

  1. Bachelor degree required. 


  2. Fluent English and Chinese required (spoken and written). 


  3. At least two-year working experience at an international event/PR/Adv. agency or a hospitality group is required. 


  4. Candidates must be passionate about events, about creating unique experiences for people. 


  5. Candidates must have strong PowerPoint skills (proficiency in design software is a plus), great mastering of written-English, a synthetic mind and an outstanding attention to details. 


  6. Strong interest for branding, lifestyle, luxury and new trends is required. 


  7. Ability to work in team.

  8. Responsible, can be held accountable for tasks. 


  9. Can be tough against adversity.
