Programme Officer I – Macau (2-year contract, renewable)
[Ref.: HMTPU/POIM/26/01]
Key Responsibilities:
Develops, implements and promotes interactive and experiential education programmes (i.e. youth training programme & service-learning programme) / workshops / campaigns / materials for various stakeholders, including schools, parent-child, youth and public
Support development of partnerships and different forms of collaboration to tackle pressing poverty problems in Macau
Responsible for project management and monitoring to ensure the high-quality deliverables
Explore and develop new initiatives (e.g. making use of digital and innovative elements) on poverty and education programmes
Produce high-quality deliverables – such as gauge external funding and prepare funding proposals, prepare reports, presentations and events – to communicate the work impacts to external stakeholders
Develops and implements public engagement campaigns and events in collaboration with other teams, including Fundraising Unit
Support the supervisors to know well the works and situation in Macau, to ensure the quality implement of programmes under the advice and guidance from supervisors
Support and guide the team colleague to take up the works, to ensure fulfilling agency compliance and quality deliverables
Undertake other functions as assigned by the Supervisors
Requirements:
Degree holder with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant working experience on education/ social services sector
Experience in social and education programmes development and management
Understand of the formal education system and social situation in Macau
Knowledge on issues of global and local poverty and sustainable development is preferable
Experience in online and digital initiative is preferred
Familiar with networks in NGOs, schools and other related sectors is a plus
Organized and systematic, able to coordinate and work with others, strong interpersonal and communication skills, proactive, enthusiastic, highly motivated and outgoing personality
Strong problem-solving and ability to be flexible, can work independently and multi-task, meet tight deadlines and be a good team player
Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
Experience with design and editing software such as Illustrator, video editing is a plus
Able to work on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays as required
Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision is a must
